Ministries at FUMC

We are a house of Ministry.

Please take the time check out all of the ministries in our church. If you need information regarding one of these ministries, it may be on that page, and if not each page should have a contact person with an e-mail address. This is a church swelling with places for you to plug in, so if you're interested in helping with one of these ministries, feel free to contact the leader listed.

Alpha The Alpha course explores the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions, with a day or weekend away. It is a low-key, friendly and fun environment.

Anna Ministry A ministry to the needs of widows living alone.

Bell Choir Our handbell choir provides music for the traditional services once a month.

Bikers for Christ A non-denominational, international outreach ministry designed to reach out to bikers, street kids, hookers, the homeless, drug & alcohol addicts, prisoners and to anyone else that God would open the door for us to minister to.

Chancel Choir The chancel choir sings at the 11:00 traditional service.

Children Ministries to the younger set in our church, helping us to live out our commitment to order our lives after the example of Christ.

Children's Choir Children learning the basics of Christian music.

Emmaus A community for people who have attended a Walk to Emmaus or a Chrysalis Flight or Journey.

Family Ministries Ministries to families.

Happy Timers A dining-out group for people who like to get out and try different restaurants.

Kairos An ecumenical Christian prison ministry in which specially trained volunteers bring the love of Jesus to incarcerated individuals.

Mom & Me A group for expectant mothers, and mothers of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Nursery Provides age-appropriate activities for pre-school children during the worship services.

Praise Band This group provides music at the 9:12 Breakthrough2 worship service.

Singles A ministry for people without a spouse, including never-married, widowed, and divorced.

Small Groups/Bible Studies Listing of small groups and Bible studies, both on Wednesday nights and at other times throughout the week.

Stephen Ministry A ministry of Christ caring for people through people. Stephen ministers listen and share the love of Jesus in times of crisis or bereavement.

Sunday School Fellowship and instruction in the Word of God.

The T.I.D.E. A United Methodist Youth Fellowship.

United Methodist Men A UMM Fellowship with monthly meetings and mission projects throughout the year.

United Methodist Women Women's groups focusing on missions at home and abroad.

Wesleyan Child Care Center Christ-centered day care throughout the week.

Youth Choir Our youth choir sings about once a month in the early service from September through April.

Other Ministries
& Committees Other ministries meet at our church, including Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Al-Anon, Narcotics Anonymous, TOPS Weight Loss, Bikers for Christ, and Weight Watchers.
