"God’s goal for your home is harmony. That means a family of individuals singing different notes, but with the same score of music and with the same goal." (Max Lucado) The church is no different. Our church is our "spiritual" home. We need this same harmony at church. We all may be singing different parts but we all make up one great song for God’s glory!

Family Ministries is here to make this happen and to make God Smile! Several times throughout the year, we as a church body will come together to share quality time with one another in Christian love.

The four main events that will fall under the title of Family Ministries are as follows:
• A Church wide picnic – This will be an afternoon of dinner on the grounds, with music and games for the little ones (and young at heart!)
• The Fall Festival – This will no longer be for just the little ones!! We will have something for all ages!! It will also be an afternoon event complete with pony rides, games, music and a petting zoo!
• Jesus’ Birthday Party – will be held in December. We will be asking all who attend to bring our baby savior a gift that can be used for our benevolence fund. There are so many in need, especially at Christmas time. Jesus instructed us to feed and clothe the poor.
• The Easter Path – This is a family event. You will walk through different stations that will be set up to portray the events of the last few weeks of our savior. We are trying to teach the true meaning of the Easter season.

These are the main events that we will be sponsoring. There will be other smaller events throughout the year. We are considering a family canoe trip down the Blackwater River, a Mobile Baybears baseball game, or maybe a trip to the Naval Museum in Pensacola. If you have any other suggestions please share them with us.
