Wedding Policy

A message to the Bride and Groom:

"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh."
Ephesians 5:31
The members of the First United Methodist Church of Crestview, Florida are happy that you have chosen to have your Service of Marriage at First United Methodist Church. A church wedding is a service of worship. The planning, decorating, music, processional, and ceremony shall be in keeping with the Service of Marriage. When a man and a woman enter into holy matrimony, they pledge their faith to each other and enter into a holy covenant with God. In the ceremony, the blessing of God is invoked and the sanction of the Church is affirmed with reverence and with faith.

It is the desire of FUMC and its staff that every church wedding be profoundly spiritual in nature. If these procedures and policies are fully understood and followed, your wedding will be a happy and worshipful experience for all concerned.
